WIENER SECESSIONIST HANS OFNER ARGENTOR AUSTRIA SILVER PLATE FRUIT BASKET BOWL

Description

*Here is a hard-to-find and striking piece - an elegant vintage secessionist silver plate fruit bowl or centerpiece basket by Vienna Austrian maker, Argentor.  On the bottom it is marked "ARGENTOR" -  we find no artist mark, but looks like the work of Hans Ofner.  It is in the modernist style with a stamped clover design on the sides.  It is a large size measuring  approximately 10" tall to the top of the oval handle by 20" long at its longest by 4" wide. There is some overall faint polishing wear marks with a small worn spot in the interior bottom of the basket and the handle has a slight bend on one side of the oval, all mentioned for accuracy. Still presents well.
