Vintage Reticulated Silverplate Sugar Basket with Ruby Glass Insert
A ruby red glass liner shows through the reticulation on this vintage sugar basket. The body of the basket is composed of silver leaves and scrolls. The basket handle has a narrow repeating pattern along its center. The base of the pedestal is ridged. The ruby red liner can be removed as can be seen in one of the pictures. The height is 8 inches with the handle up and 5.5 inches with the handle down. The diameter of the top opening is 4.5 inches. The piece is in excellent condition.
