Vintage Knickerbocker Silver Co Sheffield EPNS 5 inch Basket with Hinged Handle

Description

This vintage silver plate basket by Knickerbocker measures 4.75 inches across and 5.5 inches from base to top of handle. Weighs 5.6 oz..  Marked on the base with the Knickerbocker Silver Company logo, EPNS, C6. Sheffield Made in U.S.A.
Elegant yet simple mid-century modern shape with hinged handle and incised with three rings surrounding the upper ridge. This EPNS (electroplated nickel silver) basket/bowl is in near excellent condition with no silver plate loss, no unsightly scratches, no dings. Some surface wear scratches underneath the base, which is to be expected, please see photos.
The Knickerbocker Silver Co. of Port Jervis, NY was in business from 1894-1962 and was the successors to the J.A. Babcock in 1894 which was succeeded by the Crescent Silverware Manufacturing Company 1962.
