Meriden produced limited-edition silver and silver-plate items. These are clearly marked by the numbers incised into each piece. "Quadruple Plated" means that the piece was electroplated with four times as much silver as single plated items (not plated four times). These pieces are highly sought after as being
some of the finest and most valuable silver-plated pieces of the late 19th century.

    Also etched R.

This would make a wonderful "Something Old" Bridal Wedding Gift or a great addition to any silver collection.
