Antique Victorian Bride's Basket Bowl quadruple Silver Plate Cranberry crimped ruffled Glass 1890s.
For your consideration is an Antique Victorian Bride's Basket and Bowl circa 1890's. The basket is marked Colombian Quadruple, and a sticker reads The Silver Shop, Osseo, Minn.The brides basket was made using a blown Glass technique and has a nicely ground pontil. The coloring is a dark pink that fades to a pale pink towards the center with 16 crimped flutes.
Condition: The quadruple plate basket does have wear in addition to some surface rust on the handle as shown in photos. The plated basket may have repairs? If it was a good job was done.
The blown Glass bowl is in very good condition and has one very small nick from the underside of the white part of the ruffle, I didn’t see it but felt it with my fingernail. No cracks or repairs.
Measurements: The basket measures 13” in height; 10 1/2” in width. The glass bowl is apx. 3 1/2" in height; 10 1/2” diameter and the base is approximately 3” inches. The bowl does fit properly into the base. Please review and enhance the photos as they are part of the description.
