Sheffield's Jame's Dixon & Sons Bride's Basket Silverplate Handle PNS  # 1466
Ornate design with engraved flowers, leaves and scrollwork on the bowl.
Looks like interwoven leaves molded around the rim and a decorative pattern of interlinked arches around the footed base.
The handle is ornate with molded flowers, scrolls, leaves and open work metal.
There is a James Dixon & Sons Sheffield crest stamped on the base and  5 hallmark symbols that are difficult to read.
The last one is a shield with the letters PNS inside. The others are, I think, J, D, the & sign and S for James Dixon & Sons
It is also numbered 1466.
The bowl has an initial engraved in the center and it needs a good cleaning by the new owner.
There is also a dent to the base which makes it not sit completely flat when empty.
Measures 13" across x 10" wide x 4" high at the bowl. With the handle it is 10" 5all.
