    Description

    Lovely early 20th century, about 1930, bride's basket made by Wm Mounts Homan Manufacturing Company in Cincinnatti, Ohio. The basket is pedestal footed with a reticulated design on the edge and handle. The handle is engraved with the letter "P" on the top.
    Markings
    : This piece is silver-plated and marked "Sheffield Design - Made in US" which is the Homan proprietary line name for their method of electro-plating. It's also marked "EPNS Electroplated Nickel Silver" and "0190" which is the mold form pattern 'name'. (See last photo for all identifying marks.)
    My appraiser tells me there would have been a glass insert for this basket, but I don't have it.
    Polishes up beautifully (will tarnish again over time if you like the Boho look). No signs of base metal peeking through the silver-plate. Minor scratches in keeping with normal use.
    Measurements
    : 6" tall to top of basket and about 11.25" tall to top of handle. 6" wide across top, 8" wide including handle.
