Up for auction is an antique Pairpoint, Quadruple Silver Plate, Brides Basket with arched handles.  The interior of the brides basket slopes down at an angle, to a pegged hole at the base, for the bottom of a glass bowl.  It's rim features a repeated garland decoration, and there is a winged griffin or gargoyle type animal on each of the four feet.  In addition, there are leaves on the underside of the bowl where the handle meets the stem, as well as on each side of the double arched handle, in addition to a silver ball at the very top.  The entire piece measures just under 9 inches from the base to the top of the ball, and the rim of the basket measures approximately 5.5 inches across in diameter.  It also measures approximately 4.5 inches from the rim of the basket, to the bottom of the silver ball.  Stamped onto the underside of the basket, is the Pairpoint mark, "Pairpoint Mfg. Co.", "Quadruple Plate" and "2111".
The Brides Basket is in great vintage condition, with no cracks, chips, stains, discoloration, repairs, nor any other damage that I can detect, other then some overall wear and minor surface scratches to the silver plate.
