Very rare, ornate, etched, elevated antique Victorian bridal basket, with filigree handle, made in the USA by the fine silversmiths at Reed & Barton, c 19th century.
Measures 8 1/2" High without considering handle and 13 3/4" High with handle elevated x 9 1/2" diameter of tray x Base diameter of just over 4 3/4"
Absolutely magnificent design decorates this brides basket, in classic Reed & Barton Victorian style, with center tray ornately etched in a floral pattern, beautifully detailed handle top with scrolls and abstract design, outer rim extends out ward at about a 45 degree angle, highlighting ornate etched embossed pattern in a floral motif, and several levels of pedestal base, the widest and bottom most presenting a lovely etched almost guilloche pattern.
