Antique Silverplate & Glass BRIDAL BASKET Ruffle Edge Green & Enamel

Description

We are pleased to present an antique bridal basket. The silverplate bottom is made by Rogers Smith & Co. The bottom measures 5" diameter at the plate, 7.25" diameter at the base, and sits 4.25" tall. The glass bowl measures 12" diameter and sits about 3.625" tall. The glass bowl has a polished pontil. It has a very nice light green to dark green gradient, decorated with orange leafs and white/blue and white/pink flowers. Some residue of gilt decoration that is almost all rubbed off. The glass is in excellent condition. The silverplate bottom shows plate loss and heavy tarnish; there are some spots rubbed down to the undermetal, and some light dings. Please note: These are probably not an original pair; the glass is secured to the base with some putty as it does not sit perfectly on the plate. Please see pics.
