    Description

    Antique Silver Plate Sheffield Greek Key Octagon Fruit Basket Folding Handle Tray circa 1890. This tray, from an estate collection, is in excellent antique condition, with no dents or major scratches. Light scratching in the dish is observed, and expected in a piece of this era. The back side of the tray is scratched. The tray is unmarked, but identified in multiple marches. The Greek Key element on the folding handle was a popular design in an unbroken, interlocking pattern that’s a symbol of both unity and infinity. The silver plate folding handle, or “swing handle,” fruit basket measures 11” x 7” x 1 1/2”. Shipped with USPS Parcel Select Ground.
