late diameter is 9 1/2" x Base is 5" diameter x 6 1/2" High to rim and an additional 5 1/2" High to handle. Gorgeous antique Middletown Silverplate wedding basket/compote dish with handle. Ornate engraving throughout the basket plate/bowl and rim. Impressed on bottom Middletown Plate Co Quadruple Plate 1771 WHITE HARD METAL. The rim of the basket is bent in a few areas. The basket pedestal base is slightly bent at rim and around base of stem as is the bowl/plate. Otherwise tarnished and a good polish would bring it back to its original beauty. Otherwise good condition.
