Antique Meriden Britannia Brides or Cake Basket, Pheasant & RAM or GOAT Heads

Antique Meriden Britannia Victorian Silverplate Cake or Bride's Basket.  This piece is unusual and unique.  Hard to find~~the last one sold in 2012.  The base have four ram or goat heads with horns.  There is a pheasant perched on the ledge on each side.  The inside has some type of leaf and foliage that go along perfectly with the pheasants.  The Meriden hallmark is on one of the feet and is stamped 1728.  Measures 10" diameter and with the handle up it is 12" high.  The handle does move up and down smoothly.  This is a heavy piece--it will weigh over 5 pounds.  I will pack it securely, safely and provide insurance.  There are no breaks or repairs.  Please see all of the pictures are they are part of the description.
Most of the items that I sell are antique or vintage as as such they do show signs of patina, use, and age.  That only adds to the character that so many collectors desire.  If there are any major issues or defects, I try to describe them to the best of my ability and as accurately as possible.  In the event that I do miss something with words, I provide you with plenty of pictures to be included as part of the description.
