Antique English Georgian 19th Century Silver Plate Fruit/Centerpiece Basket Bowl
Presented is an antique, English Georgian fused silverplated serving/fruit/centerpiece basket made during the mid 1800s. This piece is done in a classic form and the rim has a traditional gadroon band of design along the rim. The handle is solid, stays upright on its own and also has a blank cartouche in the center that has never been monogrammed.
This piece is in excellent condition considering its age. There is some wear to the silver plating along the high points that show the copper underneath, but there are no damages or repairs.
The basket measures 10 by 13 1/4 inches and is 4 inches tall, and when the handle is upright it is 10 1/2 inches tall.
