A lovely antique Georgian old Sheffield plate fruit or bread basket, circa 1810. Rectangular footed bowl with ribbed trim and pivot handle. Measures approx. 9.25"h x 11.5"l x 10"w (4.5"h x 11.5"l x 9.5"w excluding handle). In antique condition, displaying wear and minor imperfections consistent with age/use, including tarnish, general surface rubbing/scratches, a couple small isolated dings, a bit of plate loss/exposed copper, and some scattered small spots of greenish oxidation - see pictures. Unmarked, but comes with James Robinson Inc. (notable jewelry and silverware antiques dealer) information card.
