Antique Aesthetic Movement Silver plate Bride's Basket with Handle

Description

Vintage silver plate bride's basket with handle: how sweet it is going to be to see a little girl throw flower petals from this elegant basket. The basket has a flower shaped bottom with open worked areas in between unadorned loops. The handle is a very elegant double openworked affair. The basket of course will also look very good with a pyramid of chocolates stacked on it on a buffet table.  There is no end to the possibilities. The basket has had a life with some visible signs: the basin of the basket has a fair share of scratches, which will be buried in flower petals, but need mention. The handle hinges down for storage. The basket has four floral feet. The bottom is marked with a W inside a spiderweb, which stands for E.G. Webster, dating it to the Aesthetic Movement of the late 1900's.
Measurements are: 10” diameter; 10” with the handle up.
