Antique 1860's Meriden Silver Plate Co. Bride's Basket Birds & Flowers Folding Handle. This antique silverplate basket has stunning etching of flowers and birds! The edge has a nice raised design on it and the handle folds down. The top center of the handle is adorned with 3 flowers. The center of the basket is pushed down (looks like a dimple) but does not detract from its beauty.  It is marked with the number
1633 1/2. The etched numbers shown are underneath the rim and also under the base. I do not know their significance.  Sorry for the reflections in the pictures but I polished it and it is nice and shiny. It measures approximately 9 3/4" across the top x 5" not including the handle and approximately 13" to the top of the handle.
