    Description

    This basket is 6-sided. It is firm & sturdy but the decorative elements give it a very delicate appearance. The repousse decoration consists of courtship images around the foot;  young musicians a dame and cherub around the body all amidst a myriad of Rococo scrolls and florals.This item is marked at the bottom Derby S P CO Internationals Co 1234 EPWM, which means it was made after 1898 towards the early part of the 20th C.  This item is in good condition. No dents or repairs. The silver plate has an oxidized appearance. It is app 10" tall  measure to the high point of the arched handle; 5 7/8" wide from side to side and 7" wide from point to point. The basket weighs 1.5 lbs.
