    Silver Bride's Basket by F. Curtis & Co. Hartford Conn. Basket is on a pedestal stand with a swing arm handle engraved "June 11-66". Bottom of basket also has "FLORENCE MORRIS" inscribed and another name not clear enough to read on opposite side.

    This large, impressive silver plated bride's basket has a scalloped rim and is also pierced along with a studded bead work design.
    Approximate Measurements:
    9.5" tall
    12" across
    4" pedestal
    Weights 2 lbs. 4 oz.
    Please take a look at pictures, they are part of the description. I took pictures from when it was tarnished and after polished. It is tarnished and if you prefer I can polish it prior to shipping, please let me know. Handle is tight as it should be, with no dings or damage. The body of the basket bowl has minor wear to the very center of the basket.
    After researching this makers mark I found this information online:
    "Curtis & Co, and later the Curtisville Manufacturing Co., were out of business by 1858. They were actually one of the first companies in the US to produce German silver flatware, and one of the first commercial electroplaters. Historically, they are quite important."
